Here is the new U2 song
Ahimsa is a single from the Irish musical group U2 and the Indian composer A. R. Rahman, published November 22, 2019.
In September 2019, Rahman and the Irish group had a meeting in New York, at the Electric Lady Studios, to trace the guidelines of the musical project that led to the birth of the musical piece. On the meaning of the song, Rahman, in an interview with the Indian edition of Rolling Stone, stated that it originates from the meaning of the Sanskrit word ahimsa, which can be summarized in non-violence. The U2 frontman, Bono, on this track recalled how the commitment of the Irish group to respect human rights is a key element of their work and how Martin Luther King was a witness for them. Moreover, Martin Luther King himself saw an example in Gandhi.
The song begins and ends with a female choir composed of Raheema and Khatija, Rahman’s daughters, who sing verses extracted from the book Tirukkural, written in Tamil
Ahimsa (Sanskrit: अहिंसा; IAST: ahiṃsā, Pāli: avihiṃsā) is term meaning “not to injure”, derived from the Sanskrit root hiṃs – to strike (hiṃsā is injury or harm, a-hiṃsā is the opposite of this, i.e. cause no injury, do no harm). Ahimsa is also referred to as nonviolence, and is one of the cardinal virtues and an important ethical and mystical tenet of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. It can involve many complex and multidimensional concepts, inspired by the premise that all living beings have the spark of the divine spiritual energy (prana), and relationships of Karma, and that to needlessly oppress any being is to hurt oneself, and all beings, in ways that can be obvious or mysterious. Strongly inspired by Hindu and Jain concepts of ahimsa, Mahatma Gandhi popularized many of its strategies worldwide, among people of many diverse traditions.

I’ll meet you where the sky is torn
I’ll meet you in the end
I’ll meet you before the world was born
When we had not a care
This is an invitation
To a high location
From someone who wants to be loved
This is a meditation
On your radio station
If you like it, you can sing along
Ahimsa

Ahimsa
I’ll meet you where there is no weeping
Your tears are now a stream
I’ll meet you where there is no sleeping
But we wake up to dream
This is an invitation
To a high location
From someone who wants to be loved
This is a meditation
On your radio station
If you like it, you can sing along

Ahimsa
Ahimsa
Ahimsa
Ahimsa
Ci vediamo dove non si piange
Le tue lacrime sono ora un flusso
Ci vediamo dove non si dorme
Ma ci svegliamo per sognare
Questo è un invito
Ad essere all’altezza
Di qualcuno che vuole essere amato
Questa è una meditazione
Sulla tua stazione radio
Se ti piace, possiamo cantare insieme
