January is about to end: the first month of the year 2022 is going away.
Compared to the past few months, we still do not see the light for many things: there is no vaccine that lasts at least 8-10 months … Furthermore, the winds of war are strongly felt. Russia is invading Ukraine’s eastern borders. America quickly responded by sending troops to Europe. For the time being it is not a planetary level conflict but it can certainly harm international diplomacy for future events …
February is about to come, a month which for the first half is identical to January and which for the second half is the same as March.
Rafa Nadal triumphs at the Australian Open 2022 in Melbourne, setting the all-time record for tennis Grand Slam tournaments. The Spanish champion has in fact reached 21, one more than Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Nadal, who defeated the blue Berrettini in the semifinals, in the final defeated the Russian Daniil Medvedev, world number 2, in five sets, after losing the first two. 2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 7-5 the final score. “I will carry this tournament forever in my heart: I lived three incredible weeks and today one of the most exciting days of my career”, Rafa’s hot comment after the victory, which came after a difficult period, during which he himself revealed of having feared until a month ago of having to stop playing tennis.
Reducing pollution from the sea does not only mean building fully electric ships, but also and above all trying to reduce emissions from boats that are currently impossible in fully electric boats. An important share of these emissions comes from journeys in port or from ships that are waiting offshore, often for days.
Maersk Supply Service, part of the Danish naval giant Maersk, is launching Stillstrom, a new subsidiary dedicated to the development of offshore electric charging buoys. The buoy would be directly connected to wind farms, or even to the mainland, to allow ships to dock and recharge batteries on board. The energy stored would be used for all operations on board, allowing the endothermic engines to be turned off and, in the case of hybrid ships, also providing propulsion for maneuvers near the mainland.
Stillstrom
The Danish wind giant Ørsted will collaborate on the project, presenting a buoy by the third quarter of 2022, with which it will feed its SOV (Service Operations Vessels). Ørsted itself will take care of the integration of the charging point into the network, and will make public the intellectual properties generated during the design.
Program manager at Maersk Supply Service, Sebastian Klasterer Toft, made the study’s objectives clear: “The mission is to remove 5.5 million tonnes of CO2 within five years of commercial launch, further eliminating particulates, nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides “.
My heart was way too lonely, if you saw it closely, you’d see the scars Oh yeah But all the things you showed me make me feel so holy, that’s what you are
And I feel it coming, you’re in my, my mind, everything that we’re doing Feels right, oh I love the way that you’re moving You’re my limelight, I don’t wanna lose you right now Lose you right now
Take me in your arms, take me in your arms Don’t let go, no, just hold me again Take me in your arms, take me in your arms ‘Cause you know I feel whole on your skin
Take me in your arms Take me in your arms Take me in your arms
You’re taking all my feelings, wide awake and dreaming, I found it all Oh yeah I’m living in the moment, with you’s where my home is, can’t get enough
Take me in your arms Take me in your arms
Take me in your arms, take me in your arms Don’t let go, no, just hold me again Take me in your arms, take me in your arms ‘Cause you know I feel whole on your skin Take me in your arms
The silence of shadows The cows busily eating and a bird over head Silence called peace as the solar lights come on in the darkening of the day. From my world to your heart, Linda
The early mornings begin with such promise: I hear the twittering of Cape White-eyes; the chattering of a Cape Robin-chat; the last bubbling calls of the Fiery-necked Nightjar; and the soft urgings to get started by the Red-eyed Doves – all before the harsh cries of the Hadeda Ibises make one almost leap out of […]
Morning was cold and bright. Temperature -20C did not scare photographers. There were some of them to meet the Sun at Niagara Falls. Before Sunrise Just above the Horizon Through the Mist Morning Touch
While Meta is considering introducing the ability to use NFTs as profile images in Facebook and Instagram, there is another popular social network that has already started doing so. Twitter announced it at the end of last week, explaining what the novelty consists of: the profile photos in NFT format will be marked with a hexagonal shape; to use an NFT as a profile photo, users will need to associate the crypto wallet with their Twitter account. An example is the current Twitter Blue official profile picture. A click on it opens the information on the NFT …
… including the collection to which it belongs, the person who carried out the verification, the edition of the NFT and the legitimate owner.
Twitter explains in the following terms the reasons that prompted the Twitter managers to introduce the novelty:
This new feature offers Twitter users around the world an easy and intuitive way to verify ownership of the NFT by allowing them to directly link their crypto wallets to Twitter and to select an NFT from their collection as a new profile picture. We'll be monitoring people's feeds on Twitter Blue Labs and sharing more updates as we get them.
Spotify ditched Neil Young’s music after the singer’s refusal to come to milder advice about his objection to being on the same platform as Joe Rogan’s podcast, a no-vax commentator. The “Wall Street Journal” writes it today, confirmed by the “Hollywood Reporter”. Young had written an open letter in the past few days threatening to remove all of his songs from Spotify – an action that would have resulted in a deadweight loss of 60% of his streaming proceeds for him – if Rogan had continued to have citizenship rights on the platform. : “They can have Young or Rogan, not both of them.” The “Heart of Gold” singer posted the letter on his website and after two days he removed it. Despite this, Spotify has begun to remove Young’s songs from the site, a spokesperson told the “Hollywood Reporter”. Spotify entered into an over $ 100 million deal two years ago to get the Rogan podcast exclusive. “We want all the music and audio content in the world to be available to our customers. With that comes the great responsibility of balancing the safety of listeners and the freedom of creators,” said a Spotify spokesperson hoping that Young “will be back soon in between. we”.
