12th November 2021: it came out the new album of Silk Sonic ♬ Blast Off

Today (12th November) it came out the new album of Silk Sonic: “an evening with silk sonic”. to celebrate this album, that I considere very nice, I post this song:

LYRIC

Clouds are blowin’, don’t know where we’re goin’
But we’re levitatin’ up in this room (Ah-ah-ah)
All these colors just like rainbows in summer
Got us smilin’ like our dreams just came true (Yeah)

I took a little somethin’ to get here, yeah, yeah
I got a little more if you’re ready, we can have it all

Oh, let’s tip-toe to a magical place
Blast off and kiss the moon tonight
And watch the world go crazy from outer space
Blast off into the sky

As we’re flyin’, stars are multiplyin’
We’re up so high, we’d be fools to look down
Shapes turn paisley, this is so amazin’
Destination, pure sensation startin’ right now (Woo)

I took a little somethin’ to get here, yeah, yeah
I got a little more if you’re ready, we can have it all

Oh, let’s tip-toe to a magical place
Blast off and kiss the moon tonight
And watch the world go crazy from outer space
Blast off into the sky

Into the sky
Into the sky
Dance all night on Saturn’s ring
If you got some friends that you wanna bring, then come on
It’s time to take this party up and beyond

Let’s tip-toe to a magical place (Come fly with me)
Blast off and kiss the moon tonight (To the moon and the stars above)
And watch the world go crazy from outer space
Blast off into the sky

Blastin’ off straight to some good vibrations
Can we take it higher? (Oh yeah)
Blastin’ off straight to some good vibrations
Can we take it higher? (Oh yeah)
Blastin’ off straight to some good vibrations
Can we take it higher? (Oh yeah)
Blastin’ off straight to some good vibrations
Can we take it higher? (Oh yeah, come on)
Blastin’ off straight to some good vibrations
Can we take it higher? (Oh yeah)
All the way from the stratosphere
Sendin’ love from up above
Happy trails, baba

Emmy Awards 2021: See the full list of winners

Kate Winslet, Jason Sudeikis, Jean Smart

It was a shiny night for England-set shows and British actors at the Emmys.

Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso, which led all comedies with 20 nominations, claimed four trophies on Sunday night at the 73rd annual ceremony honoring excellence in TV. The feel-good story of 2020 centered on an American football coach (Jason Sudeikis) who moves to London to coach a professional soccer team in the Premiere League. When the game was over, Lasso netted statuettes for Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actor (Sudeikis), Supporting Actress (Hannah Waddingham), and Supporting Actor (Brett Goldstein).

On the drama side, The Crown, which was tied with The Mandalorian for the most-nominated drama series (24), began collecting jewels early and often. The Netflix drama that explores the reign of Queen Elizabeth II pulled off a trio of sweeps: Olivia Colman and Josh O’Connor won Lead Actress and Lead Actor, Gillian Anderson and Tobias Menzies triumphed in the supporting categories, and the show also nabbed writing and directing statuettes. Including wins at the Creative Arts Emmys, The Crown tallied 11 wins.

British actress Kate Winslet also wound up at the podium: The Mare of Easttown star claimed the Lead Actress prize in the Limited Series category, with co-stars Evan Peters and Julianne Nicholson emerging victorious in the Supporting categories. London-born multi-hyphenate Michaela Coel scored a writing Emmy in the limited series category for her work on I May Destroy You. And another Brit, Ewan McGregor, scored a surprise win in the Lead Actor in a limited series category for Halston. And let’s not forget Last Night with John Oliver, which claimed two awards.

The Cedric the Entertainer-hosted ceremony — which was held with a limited audience at L.A.’s Microsoft Theater, a departure from last year’s largely Zoom affair in the middle of the pandemic — was not kind to heavily nominated genre series WandaVision, The Mandalorian and Lovecraft Country, which never made it to the podium. (All three had better luck at the Creative Arts Emmys.) Things went much better for newcomer HBO Max comedy Hacks. In a category where three quarters of the Outstanding Comedy nominees were new — the beloved standup series starring Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder triumphed in the Lead Actress category (Smart) and edged fellow freshman Lasso in the writing and directing categories.

While this year’s field of nominees was the most diverse to date, all major acting awards went to white performers. RuPaul did make Emmy history for the most wins by a person of color as RuPaul’s Drag Race claimed its fourth consecutive Emmy trophy for Outstanding Competition Program. Elsewhere, The Queen’s Gambit won the limited series prize, Hamilton emerged victorious in the variety special category, and Debbie Allen was honored with the Governors Award. Scroll down for a complete list of winners.

LYRIC

Oh my, oh myIn a room full of dimes
You would be a hundred dollars
If bein’ fine was a crime
Girl, they’d lock your lil’ fine ass up in a tower
The way you move like you do
Ooh, it’s like you do it for a livin’
Do a lil’ spin, do it again
Shit, look like you playin’ for the win, oh, babyI’m tryna roll, I’m tryna ride
I’m tryna float, I’m tryna glide
No, no, don’t be shy, just take my hand and hold on tightOh, skate to me, baby (skate)
Slide your way on over (slide your way on over)
Oh, skate to me, baby (skate)
I wanna get to know ya (I wanna get to know ya)
Come on
Oh my, oh myGot your hair in the wind and your skin glistenin’
I can smell your sweet perfume
Mmm, you smell better than a barbecue
Oh, superstar is what you are
I’m your biggest fan
If you’re lookin’ for a man, sugar, here I am
OohI’m tryna roll, I’m tryna ride (I’m tryna vibe with ya darlin’)
I’m tryna float, I’m tryna glide
Oh, no, no, don’t be shy, just take my hand and hold on tightOh, skate to me, baby (skate)
Slide your way on over (slide your way on over)
Oh, skate to me, baby (skate)
Uh, I wanna get to know ya (I wanna get to know ya)I never fall, but tonight you got me fallin’ for you
And only you, you
I’m reachin’ out in hopes that you reach for me too
Girl, let’s groove
Girl, you got me singin’, “ooh”
My, oh my, my, oh my
My, oh my, my, oh myOh, skate to me, baby (skate)
Come on, slide your way on over (slide your way on over)
Oh, skate to me, baby (skate)
Ah, I wanna get to know you, girl (I wanna get to know ya)
Skate to me, my baby (skate)
Just slide your way on over (slide your way on over)
Oh, skate to me, my baby (skate)
I wanna get to know ya (I wanna get to know ya)
