Sabaudia is a small town located on the coast of the province of Latina, south of Rome. Nearby there are also lakes that make it very humid, but on the other hand they are quite uncontaminated. I visited it on a sunny day in early October, when the cold is still not coming.

ElectReon (TASE: ELWS.TA), a leader in the development of on-road wireless charging technology for electric vehicles – commercial, public transport and passenger, today announced the launch of the first fully operational bus using the Dell’s wireless charging infrastructure. company in the city of Visby on the island of Gotland, Sweden.

After a long test phase with some trucks, which were able to absorb up to 70 kW at a speed of 80 km / h, with 90% efficiency, a public transport bus took service, also in Gotland, in the city of Visby. The bus works the same way, and runs on an electrified test road, covering the line that has been called “Smartroad Gotland”.

The vehicle therefore does not need to be recharged at columns or pantograph connections from the top, but takes all the necessary energy from the road, through various receptors located in the part below the floor.

The architects of the technology are the engineers of ElectReon, a company based in Israel, which deals with both the drowning of the charging system in the street and the systems on board vehicles. It is not the only successful project for ElectReon, which already has collaborations in Italy, France, Belgium and Germany, as well as Tel Aviv.

Once the tests with the bus have also been validated, it should move to the large-scale construction, according to the original project, which foresees over 2,000 km of electrified roads in Sweden by 2030, to achieve zero emissions by 2045.

26th October (2021): Intersex Awareness Day

Intersex Awareness Day is an internationally observed awareness day each October 26, designed to highlight human rights issues faced by intersex people.

The event marks the first public demonstration by intersex people in North America, on October 26, 1996, outside the venue in Boston where the American Academy of Pediatrics was holding its annual conference. Intersex activists Morgan Holmes and Max Beck participated for the (now-defunct) Intersex Society of North America, alongside allies from Transsexual Menace including Riki Wilchins. Holmes has written that the event was intended not as a demonstration but as participation in the conference. She states that Beck and Holmes had intended to deliver an address, “on long-term outcomes and to challenge their still-prevailing opinion that cosmetic surgery to “fix” intersexed genitals was the best course of action”, but were “met, officially, with hostility and were escorted out of the conference by security guards”. The group only later demonstrated, carrying a sign saying “Hermaphrodites With Attitude”.

The commemoration day itself began in 2003 with the establishment of a central awareness raising site by Betsy Driver and Emi Koyama.A central awareness raising site was later re-established in 2015 by Morgan Carpenter with Laura Inter of Brújula Intersexual, and support from Open Society Foundations.

Intersex Awareness Day is an international day of grass-roots action to end shame, secrecy and unwanted genital cosmetic surgeries on intersex children. The day also provides an opportunity for reflection and political action. Between October 26 and November 8, intersex organizations bring attention to the challenges intersex individuals face, culminating in the Intersex Day of Remembranceon November 8, the birthday of Herculine Barbin, also sometimes known as Intersex Solidarity Day.

A potential collaboration between Swedish House Mafia and the Weeknd was first speculated when the group signed with the Weeknd’s longtime manager Wassim “Sal” Slaiby in April 2021. It was later teased by the Weeknd during an episode of his Apple Music 1 radio show Memento Mori, in which he stated in the introduction “The Swedes just landed in L.A.“. A snippet of “Moth to a Flame” was then revealed by Swedish House Mafia during their performance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards in September. On 19 October, the group and the singer teased the single once again before announcing that it would be released on 22 October. In celebration of its release, Swedish House Mafia hosted the twentieth episode of Memento Mori.

Durango-Silverton – The Narrow Gauge Railroad Experience

Durango, Colorado.

In July, we traveled to Durango, Colorado for a week-long stay in those beautiful Rocky Mountains. We were accompanied in our excursions in the area by a friend from Buckeye, Arizona, and my sister and her friend from Albuquerque. It was a great week of relaxation.

For Journeys With Johnbo, I had two main objectives, to document the ride on the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway, and to visit Mesa Verde National Park. I took the advice of Leenie, our friend from Buckeye who spends a fair amount of time in Durango, for guidance as to what else we might do while in town.
